KEY REGULATORY PARAMETERS OF POWER UTILITIES
The Key Regulatory Parameters Report is a quarterly publication by REC Limited, initiated under the Power Sector Reform Programme in July 2021. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape across India's power utilities, including Distribution (DISCOMs), Transmission, and Generation entities.
Purpose:
To consolidate and monitor critical regulatory parameters, enabling effective comparison, knowledge sharing, and performance tracking across utilities.
Coverage: The latest Publication (Mar’2025)-
- Includes data for 63 DISCOMs across all states and Union Territories.
- Covers 17 broad regulatory parameters such as Tariff Comparison, Tariff Cross Subsidy for industrial consumers, Open access charges, Revenue gaps/surpluses, ToD tariff applicability, RoE, etc.
Data Sources:
Information is compiled from tariff orders, true-up orders, state regulations, and regulatory commission orders, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
