- In 2021, the erstwhile REC Transmission Projects Company Limited (RECTPCL) got merged into REC Power Distribution Company Limited & the name changed to REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL).

- Strategic partner to Govt of India Schemes:
- RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme): RECPDCL is helping DISCOMs as a PMA and AMISP service provider with smart metering, infrastructure upgrades, and loss reduction to improve efficiency and financial health.
- National Feeder Monitoring System (NFMS): As the nodal agency for NFMS, RECPDCL has developed a comprehensive system for monitoring Quality and Reliability of Power at national level with the overall objective of achieving 24x7 continuous Power supply.
- PMDP (Prime Minister’s Development Package): Upgraded transmission and distribution systems in J&K and Ladakh.
Financial Performance:
RECPDCL has shown consistent profit since its inception. As of 31-Mar-2025, the company had a Net Worth of Rs. 738 Cr. During FY 2020–21, it achieved a highest ever turnover of Rs. 184 Cr and also earned Highest ever Net Profit of Rs. 262 Cr. The company regularly pays dividends to its shareholders.
