REC Integrity Club
Five decades of operations rooted in values of integrity have shaped REC into India’s leading financier in the power sector. REC is taking these values to schools through ‘REC Integrity Club’ to mould young impressionable minds into vigilant citizens by: -
- Encouraging their participation in neighbourhood watch & works,
- Empowering them to monitor, question and report,
- Developing leadership for team building and collective action.
Through the effort we wish to sow the seeds of courage, responsibility and unity to make them soldiers in fight against corruption.
A National Level Initiative
REC has established Integrity Clubs in 25 schools across India as part of its CSR initiative to inculcate noble values in the young minds, creating them as leaders of future generation, make them work towards community development in a corruption free environment. Apart from New Delhi, it has its presence over Schools from Kolkata, Guwahati, Raipur, Jaipur, Bhopal, Panchkula and Shimla.
Activities Held So Far
REC has successfully organized following competitions till date: -
- Inter-School Debate Competition,
- Inter-School Poster Competition
- Inter-School Logo Designing Competition
Ongoing Activities
REC has announced Summer Vacation Project on “Cleanliness in my neighbourhood” as Inter School Project Competition for members of REC Integrity Club as Group Practical Project Work where the participating members have to form a group of 3-5 students. REC has announced prizes for the Groups at two levels i.e. School Level and National Level.
Presently, evaluation of the Project work done by each participating schools (Group wise) is undergoing by a team of Judges from REC and results will be announced at the end.
Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week -2021
REC limited observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2021 from 26.10.2021 to 01.11.2021 on theme “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity (स्वतंत्र भारत @ 75: सत्यनिष्ठा से आत्मनिर्भरता)”. Various interesting activities were organised, both within and outside the Organisation premises, with the aim to spread awareness among the employees as well as public at large. Competitions included Drawing competition, Quiz, Paragraph Writing, Collage Making and Rangoli Making. Activities were also organized at Regional Offices of REC all across India and subsidiaries of REC. All employees of the Corporation were administered Integrity Pledge on 26-10-2021. Banners, Standees, posters etc. were displayed at different locations of REC’s Offices throughout India, spreading the message of Integrity, message to demonstrate corruption-free character, message to employees and public to act virtuously regardless of circumstances
Innovative Move: Activity of learning the art of Nest making was organised with the cooperation of the “Nest Man of India” Mr. Rakesh Khatri, founder of the NGO “ECO Roots” which is working in the field of conserving the ecosystem, environment, and bio-diversity.
