REC Limited Wins Prestigious Global CSR Excellence and Leadership Awards under the Best CSR Projects in PSU category

REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power and a leading NBFC, has been honoured with the Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards under the “Best CSR Projects in PSUs” category, for its flagship healthcare initiative “Doctor Aapke Dwar”—a programme aimed at improving primary healthcare access in rural and remote areas.

The award was received on behalf of REC by Sh. Alok Singh, Chief Program Manager, Regional Office Mumbai and Sh. Vishal Sudesh, Chief Manager (CSR) during the 15^th Edition of Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards organized by World CSR Day on 18^th February 2026 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

This recognition further strengthens REC’s position as a leading contributor to impactful social development.

During the current financial year, REC’s CSR initiatives have earned multiple accolades, including the ASSOCHAM CSR & Sustainability Award 2024, the CSR Award of Appreciation from the Indian Red Cross Society, and FICCI’s India Sports Awards 2025 for Best Corporate Promoting Sports – Public Sector. Together, these honours highlight REC’s strong commitment to impactful social development and improving the quality of life in underserved communities.

REC has been designated as the nodal agency for certain States and Union Territories under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). Additionally, the Central Government has entrusted REC with the responsibility of implementing the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
